The Crippled Giant [The Crippled Giant] A nation of great wealth
Dominated by the poor

A nation sired by and betrothed to water
Dying of thirst

The food basket of aliens
Hungry are its citizens

Amongst her kinsmen
She claims to be the greatest

Piloted by the blind
Ruled by the weak-hearted
Guarded by the coward
What a crippled giant!

Words that could strike a chord
Straight through the hearts of the strong
An art of war with neither gun nor sword
But leaves one pondering what’s gone wrong

    No-one wants it said
In times when what we hear is lies
Say the truth, your life is paid
Where lay this saviour to hear our cries

To teach us so that we may learn
The words to heal these souls and mend
That we may yet become brave not cowards
And even in stands of men in ten’s
We shall march with heads held forward
