MENTOR

Hairs of wisdom running down the beard of grace
It’s all gray

I saw this legend
Under umbrella feeling the breezy rain
With accent of Western Africana
Clothed with humility

Gold street of mould you walk on
Okpe Road of Sapele

My father, who taught the fathers that taught prose
On his foot print I stand
To follow my father

Wole Soyinka
The father to the fathers
